Week 3, Rythms on the River:

Tonight's 'Rythms' competition was another entertaining night.

The week 3 winner was Gold River's Lauren Sater, who sang 'Inside Outside' by Storm Large.
For her 'encore' song, she sang a moving rendition of 'Falling Slowly'.

Carmichael's Amy Rolf just edged out Mariah Muehler from Cameron Park in a very
closely contended battle for second place.

I am in awe of the Sacramento area singing talent.

Tonight's judging panel brought back producer Jo Haskin from week 2 who joined
Track Shack's Jeff Tamilier, rock promoter Scott Brill Lehn, and the associate
director of the March of Dimes, Ashley Fehrmann. Rythms on the River's first
round of the August Finals will be a March of Dimes benefit at the Pearl.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable night.

Last night's Rythms on the River singing competition was awesome!
Sacramento's singing talent easily matches the American Idol talent.

The judges included Ken Gross, from 100.5 The Zone, and Emmy nominated
director/producers Ryan Todd and Jo Harkin joining Gigatone's Mitch Koulouris.

Week two's winner was Arianna Roberts, a self-described Acoustic Alternative
artist. WilliamTanimoto was a close second.

I declare the first 2 weeks of the Rythms on the River Wednesday events
to be a total success!

The Rythms on the River, American Idol-style singing contest got off to a great start last Wednesday. Judge Jeff Tamilier, former guitarist for Tower of Power, Jefferson Starship and Eddie Money was surprised at the high quality of the Sacramento area opening night auditioners.

The winner of week one was Jaime McCrary, who sang Bonnie Raitt's 'Make me an Angel'. One of the judges said she reminded them of the American Idol runner-up, Krystal Bowersox.

The photo shows Jaime with Jeff Tamilier and Mitch Koulouris, Grammy board member and president of Gigatone Entertainment.
